What is functional training?
Functional training is a form of exercise aimed at developing the fitness you use in everyday life and in sport. We use whole-body exercises and the fundamental movement patterns: squat, lunge, pull-up, push, pull, rotation and the hip hinge.
A training programme can develop: strength, mobility, stability, coordination, balance, speed, power, jumping ability, endurance and movement control.
There is no single universal functional training programme that suits everyone. That is why we choose the exercises, their intensity and the way we progress them individually – after assessing what you are capable of.
What does training at Fizjo-Fan look like?
- We get to know your goal – we talk about your needs, your activity so far and what you want to achieve.
- We assess your capabilities – we evaluate your movement patterns, fitness level and the areas that need more attention.
- We choose the right training – we build a plan tailored to your level, goal and capabilities.
- We work on movement quality – we teach correct technique and help you perform the exercises consciously and effectively.
- We build progression – we gradually raise the demands, adjusting the exercises, load and intensity as you progress.
Who is it for?
- people who want to train safely and effectively – without the risk of overuse injuries,
- people who have completed rehabilitation and want to return to full activity (medical training → functional training),
- runners, team-sport athletes and combat-sport athletes – as strength and conditioning,
- people with desk jobs who lack the mobility and strength for everyday activities.
Training takes place at the ZONE Fitness gym at Al. Jerozolimskie 200 in Warsaw Włochy – no club membership required.
