Runners during a marathon – sports physiotherapy Warsaw Włochy

Sports physiotherapy is a comprehensive approach to the problems of physically active people and athletes. At Fizjo-Fan we combine physiotherapy, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and strength and conditioning, tailoring the approach to your sport, activity level and goals. Sessions are available in English, so expats in Warsaw are very welcome.

Who is sports physiotherapy for?

For both recreational exercisers and competitive athletes who want to improve performance, reduce the risk of overuse injuries or return to sport after an injury. Among other things, we help with:

  • sports injuries and recurring injuries,
  • muscle and tendon overuse (jumper’s knee, tennis elbow, Achilles),
  • joint and back pain that appears during training,
  • knee, shoulder, hip and ankle problems,
  • restricted range of motion,
  • returning to sport after injury or surgery (including ACL reconstruction).

If you are looking for a sports physio in Warsaw Włochy, at your first visit we will assess your problem and choose the right approach.

Sports physiotherapy after injury

An injury doesn’t have to mean giving up activity. A properly planned process allows you to increase load gradually and prepare your body for a return. In therapy we work through successive stages:

reducing pain → restoring mobility → rebuilding strength → improving movement control → load tolerance → return to sport

Each stage is tailored to the type of injury and the demands of the specific sport – a runner’s return looks different from a basketball player’s or a combat sports athlete’s.

Runners, gym, team and combat sports

Every sport places different demands on the body. We work with people active in running, strength training, team sports (basketball, football, volleyball), combat sports, individual disciplines and recreational activity. The goal is a safe return to activity and a gradual increase in training load – so that the injury doesn’t come back.

An individual approach

Not every athlete needs the same treatment. At the first visit we take a history and carry out a functional examination to determine the nature of the problem and its impact on your activity. On that basis we choose the methods: manual therapy, soft tissue work, IASTM, pin therapy, dry needling and therapeutic exercise.

A big advantage of the clinic is its location in the ZONE Fitness club – the transition from therapy to medical training and strength and conditioning happens in one place, under the supervision of the same person.

FAQ

Sports physiotherapy – FAQ

When can I get back to training after an injury?
It depends on the type of injury and how quickly you regain full range of motion, strength and control. At Fizjo-Fan we plan your return in stages and base it on functional tests, not just the calendar – which keeps the risk of re-injury lower.
Is sports physiotherapy only for competitive athletes?
No. Most of our patients train recreationally – runners, gym-goers, amateur teams. The principles are the same as with professionals; only the scale of the load changes.
Can I keep training during treatment?
In most cases, yes – we modify your training so it doesn't aggravate the problem while keeping you from losing fitness. Medical training takes place in the gym in the same building as the clinic.
How much does a sports physiotherapy appointment cost?
First consultation with treatment (45 min) – 200 zł; follow-up sessions (50 min) – 220 zł. See the full price list.
